Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah may have been in the news for all the wrong reasons but the team is presently in a joyous mood as they celebrate its 15 years. The creator and producer Asit Kumarr Modi took to the show's official YouTube page to send a message to his fans. He spoke about his long journey with the show and how there had been many speed breakers on the way. Modi, his operation head Sohail Ramani, and his assistant were recently accused of harassment by a TV actress. A few other cast members also opened up about being mistreated by the production, and how their dues were not paid in time. Addressing all allegations in the video, Asit Modi clarified that he's never done any wrong, and in case he's hurt anyone intentionally, he apologised to them. In the video, the producer first remembered all the cast and crew members who passed away. He also shared that while they would never come back, there are many who chose to walk out of the show themselves. Asit Kumarr Modi added that while they are away, he still thanks them for their contribution to the show. "However, I can confidently say that we have never said or done wrong with anyone. But if anyone has been hurt because of us, I would like to apologise to them. In our Jain community, it's said 'Micchami Dukkadam'. It means that even if I have hurt them unintentionally, I want to say sorry to them," he added. Modi added that through the 15 years, there were all kinds of negative news to hamper the image of the show, however, they have tried to maintain the positivity. In another video, Asit Kumarr Modi thanked his fans for staying with them for so long. He also promised that he would soon get Dayaben back in the show. Thanking Disha Vakani for her contribution to the show, he said, "In this 15 years journey, there is one character that has always stayed with the audience. It is Dayaben, played by Disha Vakani. We have only love and respect for Disha. I also promise the audience that we would soon get Dayaben back in the show." As readers would know, Disha Vakani took maternity leave in 2017 and is yet to get back even though the production has been in constant touch with her. Earlier speaking to indianexpress.com, the producer had shared how he wants Disha to make a comeback. "As much as the audience, even I want Disha to return as Daya, and I am hopeful she will. All said and done, I am thankful that the audience has been giving us equal love even in her absence, which is quite a boost," he said, adding that if need be, they would audition new actors for the part.
