Shoaib Ibrahim says wife Dipika Kakar supported him financially when he had no work for three years: ‘I proudly accept it’

In a recent interview, Shoaib Ibrahim opened up about his struggles post quitting Sasural Simar Ka, and how wife Dipika Kakar stood by him.

Actor-couple Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar are all set to become parents soon. Ahead of them welcoming their little one, Shoaib opened up about his struggles and also revealed how his wife stood by him during his low phase.

Shoaib quit Sasural Simar Ka in 2013 after being part of it for two years. The actor had confessed he wanted to work on himself and do challenging parts rather than just standing around in a scene on his daily show. And now, the actor revealed that after quitting the show, he had no work for three years. On asked how he managed to survive, he told ETimes that he had some savings and managed his expenses for some time.

“Post that Dipika supported me a lot and I never shy away from admitting it. I proudly accept it. That’s the reason I never think twice about doing anything for her because she supported me at a time when I had nothing. My father also had few savings which we used and our entire family is very grateful to Dipika that she showered so much love and supported us in every way possible,” he shared.

The Ajooni actor also revealed he was scared to quit the popular show but he knew he had to take risks to achieve bigger goals. He also shared that while his family was back in his hometown Bhopal, he had certain responsibilities as the elder son. “While I was working on the show, I had a few savings. Dipika was a close friend at that time and she was very supportive towards me. We had a strong bond even though I had quit the show. Slowly, I worked and groomed myself. I used those three years to groom myself,” Shoaib told the publication.

After his break, Shoaib Ibrahim made his comeback with Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai in 2017, and also did Nach Baliye the same year with Dipika Kakar. Since then he has done shows like Jeet Gayi Toh Piya Morey, Ishq Mein Marjawaan and a film Battalion 609 (2019). The actor is currently playing the lead in Star Bharat’s drama series Ajooni. Shoaib, along with wife Dipika Kakar are also vloggers, who open the gate to their lives for fans via their YouTube channel.
