Season 3 of Shark Tank India has witnessed pitches coming from all corners of the country. And while many have impressed the judges, an upcoming pitch seems to have faced scrutiny from the ‘sharks’. As per a promo of an upcoming episode, the ‘sharks’ Peyush Bansal, Anupam Mittal, Vineeta Singh, Aman Gupta, and Namita Thapar will meet the founders of a company called Farm Didi. This brand, which makes pickles and chutneys, was started with a vision to help women in villages.

During the pitch, the founders reveal that they left their fancy jobs to do something big. One of the pitchers reveal that their brand was helping around 10 lakh women in villages. When a pitcher shares that the ladies were making organic pickles and chutneys, Anupam Mittal asks about their chutneys’ price compared to other products available in the market. Aman Gupta is then seen shocked to hear the brand selling their products at a premium rate of Rs 800 per kg.

While Namita Thapar questions the vision of the brand, the pitchers claim that they feel the brand can be valued at Rs 50 crore through an online business. That is when Anupam states that ‘there is no action plan, just a few ideas you have.’ Peyush Bansal adds, ‘Long way to go.’

Whether the three pitchers secure an investment or not is something that remains to be seen. However, off late Shark Tank India has been very much in the news, either for friction between the ‘sharks’ or for some strong comments they have made for the pitchers.
