Shama Sikander, who rose to fame with her television show Yeh Meri Life Hai, has been away from limelight for a while but made a comeback with several short films, and web series, including Sexaholic and Maaya: Slave of Her Desires. Shama recently opened up about an uncomfortable incident during an ad shoot, and how a ‘superstar’ tried to hug her while ‘improvising’ the scene.

In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Shama Sikander revealed how a hug wasn’t a part of the shoot initially but the actor decided to improvise. “I feel he wanted to hug me for some reason. You know you understand the vibe some people have, so when he was shooting with me, he improvised and he said he would put the jewellery on his wife. Then I would twirl her and hug her, ” shared Shama.

She went on to add, “So when he tried to hug me, it felt that I was uncomfortable with it. I had never sensed that before.”

She added, “I have worked with so many people, I have many guy friends, and they have never made me feel that way. It was very shocking and weird for me. That man was a superstar why does he have to pull such a stunt? It was a very shocking incident in my life. I had met that person for the first time and he had an attitude, something didn’t seem normal. Mai khud zindagi mein unke saath kaam nahi karungi,” reacted Shama Sikander.

Shama also opened up about another weird casting couch encounter of hers and said, “There have been times when people would indirectly say or ask for favours. I had signed a very big film and while I was doing makeup, I was told that my shoot was cancelled. They told me that sir wouldn’t come and I could go. And I was shooting with a very big superstar. I had prepped a lot and waited for hours for that film. They were not trying very hard to tell me a lot of things indirectly. Back then I didn’t understand as I was a child. They forced me to leave and as I left the director was looking guilty and he apologised. He then revealed that they had cast another heroine. I was shocked and cried all night, but my dad consoled me.”
