Rubina Dilaik to make her TV comeback with Laughter Chefs Season 2; Abhishek Kumar, Elvish Yadav, and Abdu Rozik to join her

Munawar Faruqui, Tejasswi Prakash, Vivian Dsena, and Mallika Sherawat are also in the running as participants on Laughter Chefs Season 2.

Rubina Dilaik has been away from the small screen since she won Bigg Boss 14. While the actor made a few appearances, she did not take on another show. A lot has changed for Rubina on the personal front in her time away from the limelight. Rubina and her husband, Abhinav Shukla, became parents to twin baby girls last year. Now, the actor has decided to end her sabbatical and return to the small screen. As per reports, Rubina Dilaik will be seen as a participant in the upcoming season of Laughter Chefs. The cooking-based reality show had a successful season one. Other than Rubina, other contestants who have been confirmed are Elvish Yadav, Abdu Rozik, and Bigg Boss 17 runner-up Abhishek Kumar.

Last season was hosted by Bharti Singh Limbachiyaa, and featured Aly Goni, Nia Sharma, Krushna Abhishek, Ankita Lokhande, Jannat Zubair, Karan Kundrra, Arjun Bijlani, and others. For the latest season, actor Mallika Sherawat has also been approached, however, she is yet to give her nod. A source close to the development also informs us that Munawar Faruqui and Tejasswi Prakash are in talks, and Vivian Dsena and Karanveer Mehra are being considered as well.

As per our source, Laughter Chefs Season 2 will air by the end of January, or in the first week of February after Bigg Boss 18 ends. Like last year, the show will be shot in real-time every week. The first season of the show was well received and some of its contestants were reported to be retained as well.

While she was away from TV, Rubina hosted a podcast on YouTube. Munawar, who won Bigg Boss 17, featured in a few music videos, and also announced his next acting project, First Copy. Abhishek Kumar was last seen on Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, while Abdu Rozik was supposed to host a special segment on Bigg Boss 18, which didn’t materialise.

Laughter Chef Season 2 will air on Colors TV and Jion Cinema app during the same time slots as last year.
