Rohit Shetty schools Amaal Mallik for threating to walk out of Bigg Boss 19: ‘Salman bhai has asked me to open the main door’

After Bigg Boss announced Gaurav as the new captain, Amaal Mallik and Shehbaz reacted angrily, claiming that Shehbaz was not even given a fair chance to make his choice. They accused Bigg Boss and the makers of being biased. Shehbaz went so far as to say they might as well declare Gaurav the winner and swore on his sister that he would walk out of the show. Amaal, too, made harsh remarks about the show and threatened to leave Bigg Boss 19. In response to the outburst, Bigg Boss gave the housemates an opportunity to overthrow Gaurav’s captaincy and select Shehbaz instead. Eventually, Shehbaz was chosen as the new captain.

Rohit Shetty schooled Amaal Mallik and Shehbaz Badesha

Reacting to the way Amaal Mallik and Shehbaz Badesha behaved, Rohit Shetty said, “Amaal, it’s funny how people outside are saying that the show makers are biased towards you, and you have accused Bigg Boss and the makers of being unfair and biased towards Gaurav.” Amaal responded, “Salman sir has scolded me every week, so I don’t think anyone has been biased towards me on the show. I am at fault for calling the show biased; it was in the heat of the moment.”

Rohit later asked Shehbaz, “Mridul had a higher fan following than you, so do you think Endemol, Bigg Boss, Colors, and the whole team are stupid to evict Mridul and keep you on the show. What will get us more abuse outside? How are we biased then? Amaal, if Shehbaz was sent first and he took the same decision, would it have been fair? How were we biased when Gaurav became the captain? Shebaz would also choose captaincy. Bigg Boss never said that he would give more preference to the one who gets the highest votes. Listening to your heart and calling the show biased, there is a huge difference in that.”

Rohit Shetty then turned his attention back to Amaal Mallik and said, “Amaal, when you came on this show, what was your fan following? You haven’t done any superhit song, still your followers have increased, because of this show. Yet every time you say throw me out, that’s wrong. You need to be careful about crossing the line. Think clearly, and speak. Every time you say this, it feels like makers have forcefully kept you inside. There are 19 seasons, and more will happen. We don’t care who wins or becomes the captain; the show will follow its format and go on for as long as it’s needed. This season is doing well, it’s because of you guys, but don’t take this for granted. Amaal, you have planned and plotted for a day and a half to vote in favor of Shehbaz. When things didn’t happen according to your plan, you reacted that way. What changed with Shehbaz becoming the captain?”

He further went on the say, “Shehbaz and Amaal, what you think makes no difference to us. It’s a big deal that the country has seen you for three months. You both swore that you will leave the house. Salman Bhai sent me a message saying, ‘Open the door. ‘ Should I open it? Amaal, you are doing wrong. Should we explain to you like a child every week? When you are wrong, you are wrong. Don’t put it on the heat of the moment. You get away with a lot of things, but you’d better improve your language, control it.”

The Bigg Boss 19 grand finale is scheduled for December 7. Rohit Shetty also confirmed that only three weeks remain before the show concludes.
