Celebrity MasterChef is in its semi-final week, and the contestants on the show are being quite competitive with each other. This is probably why Nikki Tamboli received some backlash recently after she borrowed and ingredient from Mr Faisu but refused to lend him an ingredient when he needed some help.
In a recent episode, where the contestants were expected to exchange ingredients with each other, Nikki could not score an ingredient from Archana Gautam but convinced Mr Faisu to len her what she wanted. It just so happened that Mr Faisu’s dish received some criticism from the judges. He later said, “I am upset that due to limited ingredients, I got stuck with limited options.”
After the episode, fans of Mr Faisu criticised Nikki for “betraying” Mr Faisu during the challenge. Hitting back at the negativity, Nikki shared a note on social media and wrote, “There’s a lot I have been reading about me betraying. Can someone explain to me the exact meaning of betrayal? #MasterChef is not about who makes the best food out of the best ingredients, it’s about who makes the best when you’ve got the least. Shifting from dessert to savoury takes guts, which I proved to myself. Nobody offers me a trophy if m not winning it, isn’t that a betrayal too? Stop being a hypocrite. It’s better to get a life and earn and make yourself proud instead of wasting your time on social media, not even by showing your true face. Dogs do bark from behind, but it takes guts to stand tall in front of them, just like a lioness does in the jungle.”
Celebrity MasterChef’s grand finale is scheduled to happen next week, Tejasswi Prakash, Gaurav Khanna, Rajiv Adatia, Nikki Tamboli, and Mr Faisu will be competing for the trophy.
