KBC 11: The Rs 50 lakh question that made Pankaj quit Amitabh Bachchan’s show

Kaun Banega Crorepati 11: Pankaj Maheshwari played well until the 13th question worth Rs 25 lakh. The 14th question worth Rs 50 lakh made him quit the Amitabh Bachchan-hosted show.

Pankaj Maheshwari from Jaipur, Rajasthan resumed playing Kaun Banega Crorepati 11 in Tuesday’s episode. He played well until the 13th question worth Rs 25 lakh. The 14th question worth Rs 50 lakh made him quit the Amitabh Bachchan-hosted show.

The question that made Pankaj quit the show was, ‘For whom did Allama Iqbal write these lines, “Hind Ko Ek Mard-e-Kamil Ne Jagaya Khwab Se”?’ Options were Guru Nanak, Nizamuddin Auliya, Ranjit Singh and Mirza Ghalib.

Having no clue about the correct answer, Pankaj chose to quit the show. Upon quitting, he guessed the answer as Ranjit Singh and it was the incorrect answer. The correct answer was Guru Nanak. With this, Pankaj took home Rs 25 lakh.

The next contestant to take the hot seat was Sapna Badaya from Madhya Pradesh. After winning Rs 1,60,000 with the help of four lifelines, she chose to quit the show as she was unsure about the tenth question worth Rs 3,20,000.

The question that made Sapna quit the show was, “At which place is this Mahal situated, which served as a ‘janankhana’ of Ghiyas-ud-din-Khilji?” Options were Mandu, Agra, Gwalior and Chittorgarh. Not sure about the correct answer, Sapna quit the show and won Rs 1,60,000. Later, she guessed the answer as Mandu which was the correct answer.

Now, Wednesday’s episode of the show will host Shaheda Chandran from Gujarat.

Kaun Banega Crorepati 11 airs on Sony Entertainment Television from Monday to Friday at 9 pm.
