Gurucharan Singh’s co-star Jennifer Mistry slams Taarak Mehta cast for not helping him financially: ‘Woh log kisike nahi hai’

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s former Sodhi aka Gurucharan Singh has been hospitalized for a few days now. Reports state that the actor is critical, and his friend Bhakti Soni revealed a few days earlier that Gurucharan had stopped eating food, which affected his health. She also disclosed that the actor was facing some financial issues, and has a debt of Rs 1.5 crores. He had exhausted all his savings in fighting a property dispute case. Now, Gurucharan’s co-star Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal has opened up about the actor, who played the role of Sodhi in Taarak Mehta, and his financial situation.

Talking to Zoom, Jennifer revealed that she initially tried to help Gurucharan financially in the past. She criticised other Taarak Mehta cast members for not coming to Gurucharan’s aid when he needed them. Jennifer disclosed that the actor had a debt of Rs 1.2 crores and said, “Gurucharan Singh had once asked me to help him with Rs 1 lakh to clear his credit card dues. I agreed to give it to him, but he later told me that he didn’t want it right now. He told me, ‘I will let you know once I need it.’ Later, he didn’t call me. After a few days, he asked me for Rs 17 lakh. Unfortunately, I had to use that Rs 1 lakh for my personal use. I had also told him that I didn’t have this much amount. I couldn’t help him.”

She went on to slam other co-actors from Taarak Mehta and shared, “Woh log kisike nahi hai. Mere case mein unhone mere liye stand nahi liya toh uske liye kya lenge. Jab meri behen ki death hui thi last year, tabhi kisine mujhe call bhi nahi kiya. They will never help him (They cannot be trusted, no one took a stand in my case, why would they help him? Even when my sister died last year, no one called me).”

Earlier, talking to ETimes, Gurucharan’s friend Bhakti had revealed that the actor had to clear off some debts, she even shared that his father owns a property worth Rs 55 crores which is entangled in a property dispute. Talking to SCREEN, Bhakti had also shared that she had lent Gurucharan Rs 30 lakhs. She also revealed, “His family also doesn’t value him now that he is not earning. When he used to earn, his family valued and respected him. After his situation became bad, his family members stopped contacting him. He is upset that he is not getting any support from his family. This was also the reason why he left home without telling anyone.”
