The latest season of Shark Tank India is keeping viewers enthralled, and in a recent episode, Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal left the other sharks impressed after he pointed out glaring errors in a pitch. Deepinder has already made an impact on audiences with this attention to detail and no-nonsense attitude this season. Many have been comparing him to Ashneer Grover from season one. After the latest episode, a viewer on YouTube commented, “Finally we have got Ashneer 2.0.”
The new episode featured a pitch from a company called WTF – Witness the Fitness. The entrepreneurs were seeking an investment of Rs 1 crore in return for 2 percent equity. While the pitch was a confusing one, Aman Gupta and Anupam Mittal questioned the many buzzwords that the entrepreneurs kept repeating. However, Deepinder reprimanded the entrepreneurs after he noticed that the mobile number on their standee only had nine digits, meaning that it was incorrect. Additionally, Deepinder also found some typos in the presentation, and immediately dropped out of the pitch.
“I’ve been staring at the banner for the last 10 minutes, and your number just has four digits,” he said in Hindi. He added, “Attention to detail, man. What’s going on here? Why is the ‘m’ in ‘India’s most’ in upper case? What do you mean by ‘advance training’? It should be ‘advanced’. Use your AI tools to fix your grammar first. Where’s the attention to detail? You’re on national television.” Deepinder said that he rejects resumes that have typos in two seconds, and asked the entrepreneurs why they shouldn’t be rejected as well.

While Namita praised Deepinder’s keen observations, and said that he should have been in the CIA or the FBI, the other sharks also dropped out.
