Celebrity Masterchef entered its third week posing great challenges to the contestants. The week had some really difficult challenges from which the celebrity chefs had to cook up a meal. On Monday, after failing in a challenge where they had converted a liquid drink into a solid meal, actress Dipika Kakar Ibrahim lost and landed in the danger zone. Later, Tejasswi Prakash, Rajiv Adatia, Nikki Tamboli, Kabita Singh, and Abhijeet Sawant also got black aprons after they lost the double-trouble challenge to Faisu and his team. While others have survived through this challenging week, singer Abhijeet Sawant couldn’t make it to the cut. After Chandan Prabhakar, Abhijeet is the second contestant to get evicted from the show.

Before Celebrity Masterchef, Abhijeet Sawant was seen on Bigg Boss Marathi where he was amongst the finalists. On this show, while he wasn’t among the strongest contestants, Abhijeet was often lauded by the judges for the presentation of his dishes. The challenge that further put Abhijeet in danger was the expensive mystery box challenge. On Thursday, the judges – Chef Ranveer Brar, Chef Vikas Khanna, and Farah Khan presented the contestants with a mystery box worth Rs 31 lakhs. In this, Abhijeet was also competing against two of his best friends on the show – Tejasswi Prakash and Nikki Tamboli.

This week on Celebrity Masterchef contestants also welcomed a new wild card contestant – actress Ayesha Jhulka. After Abhijeet, the contestants who have gone further in the game are – Mr. Faisu, Gaurav Khanna, Dipika Kakar Ibrahim, Tejasswi Parkash, Usha Nadkarni, Archana Gautam, Rajiv Adatia, Nikki Tamboli, Kabita Singh, and Ayesha. Other wild card contestants are expected to join the show soon. Celebrity Masterchef airs on Sony TV every Monday to Friday at 8 pm.
