CBS renews ‘Mom’, ‘Mike & Molly’

CBS has renewed comedies "Mom" and "Mike & Molly".

CBS has renewed comedies “Mom” and “Mike & Molly”. The network normally reveals series renewals in large batches, but social media posts by show staff have brought the announcements forward, reported Deadline.

“Mike & Molly” producer Julie Bean posted a picture of a news story to Instagram which explained the leaks from staff members.

It was accompanied with the caption: “What jerk did that??” Chuck Lorre’s “Mom” will return for a third season, while Melissa McCarthy’s “Mike & Molly” – also produced by Lorre – will be back for its sixth season. McCarthy will star alongside Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon in Paul Feig’s upcoming all-female “Ghostbusters” remake.
