As Bigg Boss OTT 3heads close to its finale, the race in the last lap has only intensified. However, senior journalist Deepak Chaurasia was evicted from the show and walked out on a journey he would cherish for a long, in an exclusive interview with Indianexpress.com, Deepak Chaurasia shares how his experience on the show, he even spoke about the injury he suffered and how it hampered his game.
Deepak shared his experience, saying, “This journey will always be very close to my heart. When I entered the Bigg Boss house, winning or not was a different factor, I was there to play the game. I never went on the show for the trophy. When I was offered the show, people told me not to go for it because it was a very controversial show, but I wanted to experience it. I have given 31 years to journalism so I could give one month to experience this show as well.”
Talking at length about a freak accident that left him with a serious injury, Deepak said, “Yes, the injury hampered my game, I was unable to do any duties. I will regret that… I am very passionate about cooking but I was not able to cook even one meal for the contestants. I was not able to stand, but the contestants helped me a lot so I am very thankful to each one of them. This injury was my biggest drawback. I had a 5-hour surgery after I got injured in a freak accident. I had to undergo a hip replacement, doctors advised me not to go on the show. A lot of people from the show also told me that if I am not comfortable, I can come out. But I managed to be there for a month. I am glad I came out of the house without any controversy.”

While Deepak is thankful to the contestants for their help, he even shared that they all were only sweet to him on his face. When asked who was being fake, he replied, “Whoever got a chance to be sweet on the face used it to the fullest. So I cannot pick one, they were all fake in one way or the other.”
On the show, Lovekesh Kataria had some friction with Deepak Chaurasia, however, when the latter got evicted, Lovesh got quite emotional. Talking about their bittersweet bond, Deepak Chaurasia said, “I never disliked Lovekesh, I just had an issue with the way he spoke. But I think he is very misunderstood, he has a heart of gold.”
He even had a nasty spat with Adnaan Shaikh, “I have nothing to say for Adnaan, we did argue over his comments about Chandrika, I didn’t get his logic. If someone makes a statement about something that helps her earn a livelihood, I feel very bad about it because it could impact her business.”
Deepak also commented on Armaan Malik’s polygamous relationship and said, “I would just jokingly tell him that I cannot handle one, how would he manage to keep two wives.”
