Zeishan Quadri is a contestant on Bigg Boss 19, hosted by Salman Khan. The writer, actor, director and producer is known for Gangs Of Wasseypur, which he co-wrote with Anurag Kashyap. Before entering the Bigg Boss 19 house, Zeishan exclusively told SCREEN that his primary reason for joining the show is to reach a wider audience.

On joining Bigg Boss 19

Zeishan Quadri, who has been active in the film industry for 16 years now, shared why he decided to participate in the Salman Khan-hosted show this year. He said, “After taking a break of a year and a half from writing, I thought this was the right time to get into a platform like this. It’s India’s number one reality show. The kind of audience I have had has been very niche, but after being on this show, my mass following will increase.”

On his audition for Bigg Boss 19

During the interaction, Zeishan Quadri revealed he had been offered Bigg Boss twice before. The Bigg Boss 19 contestant also share that the showrunners are his good friends. “I was offered the show this year as well. The makers are very old and good friends of mine; they know me well. They have been pushing me for the last two years. In 2022 and 23, I was offered Bigg Boss. They said the show is meant for me, but I was occupied at that time. However, this year it just felt right.”

On the Bigg Boss 19 theme

This year, the Salman Khan-hosted show’s theme is inspired by politics. Giving his take on how well he understands people’s politics, Zeishan said, “I am good at reading people, and I believe, if you are honest, people automatically get influenced. I am very good at convincing, though. I am different for different people. I shape my attitude based on how the person is with me. I am less social, and I cannot have an influencer mindset.”
