Amitabh Bachchan asks Bhuvan Bam for tips to improve his social media presence; Taaza Khabar star quips, ‘Why don’t you become KBC’s sponsor?’

Upon meeting a group of well-known social media influencers on KBC 16 recently, Amitabh Bachchan momentarily lost sight of his iconic status and asked them how to connect with more people like them.

It seems that Amitabh Bachchan, at times, forgets that he is the “Shahenshah of Bollywood”, a legend who needs no introduction. Well, that’s the impression given by a new promo video for an upcoming episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) Season 16. Upon meeting a group of well-known social media influencers on his show, Bachchan momentarily lost sight of his iconic status and, like a curious child, asked them how to connect with more people like them, leaving everyone in fits of laughter.

In an upcoming influencer-special episode, social media personalities Bhuvan Bam, Kamiya Jani, Tanmay Bhat and Samay Raina will grace the KBC stage, elevating the entertainment level of the show. Ahead of the episode’s premiere, the show’s makers unveiled a short teaser on Friday, offering glimpses of their adorable and hilarious interaction. At one point, Bachchan even enquired about how to expand his fan base on social media, given the four contestants’ significant presence in the virtual world.

“You all have millions of followers on social media. So, I wish to ask you today, what tips can you give me so that my name also reaches these crores of people,” Bachchan asked, cracking up the contestants. Switching into action mode, Bam immediately went around the room asking his three teammates how many followers they had on social media. After getting the answers, the Taaza Khabar star responded, “In total, combining all our Instagram accounts, we have just about 30-something million. How many followers do you have on Instagram? 37.5 million!” As the audience broke into applause, Bam suggested, “Sir, why don’t you become KBC’s sponsor?”

“I don’t have that much money,” Bachchan replied, as Bam proceeded to humorously suggest how Bachchan could restyle the show’s opening if he were the sponsor. “Amitabh Bachchan presents, Kaun Banega Crorepati; co-presented by Amitabh Bachchan; co-powered by Amitabh Bachchan; and driven by Amitabh Bachchan. That way, you could even change the show’s name to ‘Amitabh ji Baneyege Crorepati‘ (Amitabh Bachchan will become a millionaire),” Bam quipped, cracking up Big B.
