A day after “Thalapathy” Vijay unveiled the first look poster of his upcoming movie and revealed its title as The Greatest of All Time (The GOAT), the star has released another poster from the movie, which is sure to up the anticipation surrounding the film by multiple folds.
The latest poster features two Vijays on a motorcycle, firing guns at their rivals. The Vijay driving the bike appears older and resolute, while the one on the pillion seems computer-generated, suggesting that The GOAT might be a sci-fi film. The image’s setting reinforces this notion, diverging from typical surroundings. In the scene, the older Vijay wields a pistol, while the younger one looks directly at the camera, shooting with a machine gun.
Previously, Venkat Prabhu had shared images from the film’s sets, sparking considerable excitement. The photos indicated the use of Light Stage technology, enabling the capture of digital images of the subject. This technology can generate a 3D version of the subject, complementing motion capture technology for enhanced results. Although the reason for using this technology in the film is unknown, it’s evident that Venkat is working on a significant project. Additionally, Venkat Prabhu captioned the images with “Welcome to the future”.
The first poster featured two Vijays, suggesting the possibility of him portraying a dual role in the film, in skydiving suits and walking along a runway.
Previously titled Thalapathy 68, The Greatest Of All Time is produced by AGS Entertainment and helmed by Venkat Prabhu, known for superhits like Mankatha, Goa, Saroja, Chennai 600028 and Maanaadu.
Besides Vijay, the movie boasts an impressive cast, including Mohan, Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Meenakshi Chaudhry, Laila, Sneha, and Jayaram in crucial roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the composer of the film’s music. Initially announced in May, 2023, fans can anticipate the movie hitting theatres this year.
Vijay’s last film Leo achieved historic success, becoming the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2023 and the fifth highest-grossing Indian movie of the same year, accumulating over Rs 612 crore worldwide.
