Suriya and Bobby Deol will be seen locking horns in the upcoming Tamil period drama, Kanguva. While the two seem to be at each other’s throats on-screen, their equation off-screen is quite lovable. At the press conference, both Suriya and Bobby praised each other.
Talking about working in a new industry, Bobby said, “I don’t find any difference between our industry and their industry; it’s the same.”
He added, “When I was approached for Kanguva for the first time, and the minute they mentioned Suriya, I got so excited because his films always have an impact. However, things didn’t materialize at that time; later, I approached them and said I wanted to do the film since I loved the story. I manifested this film.”

Suriya went on to praise Bobby and said, “After meeting him, I learned what brother from another mother actually meant. Bobby has sacrificed spending festivals with family; he didn’t see the money, and even before Animal was released, he had the conviction that this film would also work wonders. He made this an Indian film. For the first two-three hours, I felt like these are stars from a galaxy far away, but when they come down, they give so much warmth and love. He has made the film larger.”
Bobby also added, “I said yes to the film for Suriya, when we met on set, it felt like I knew him for years. Despite being a big star he is so humble, we kept talking about our families with each other.”
Talking about working on another big film post Animal, the actor said, “I am just very blessed, it feels like I am dreaming that I bagged yet another film after Animal. Every actor dreams of getting good projects, I am very lucky to have gotten this.”
Kanguva will show Bobby in an antagonist avatar once again. Directed by Siva, the period actioner will be released on 14th November.
