Suriay 43: Suriya, Nazriya and Dulquer Salmaan join hands for Sudha Kongaraj’s film

Suriya has been laying low for the past two years. Though he had Etharkkum Thunindhavan in 2022, the film didn’t do wonders at the box office. However, the actor ended the year on a great note with his cameo as Rolex in Kamal Haasan’s Vikram. While fans are excited about the spin-off film featuring his character Rolex, Suriya has busy months ahead as he has signed a mega budget film with Siruthai Siva called Kanguva. On top of that, he is teaming up with director Sudha Kongara again. The makers on Thursday announced the film, its lead actors and a part of the movie’s title (Purananooru). The biggest surprise is that the film also features Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan in an important role.

The movie marks Suriya’s 43rd venture in his career. The film was announced on social media by the actor, who is also producing the movie with his wife Jyotika under their home banner 2D Entertainment.

Other than Suriya and Dulquer Salmaan, the film also stars Nazriya Fahadh and Vijay Varma in important roles. GV Prakash is composing the music for the film, which will be his 100th ventrue.

Suriya and Sudha Kongara last collaborated on Soorarai Pottru. Despite failing to have a theatrical release, the film went onto become a huge success on Amazon Prime Video. 2024 might become the year of Suriya if all his ventures end up striking gold at the box office.
