Former actor Shalini, who is married to Tamil film star Ajith Kumar, took to her social media on Wednesday and shared a photo of herself from the hospital. In the photo, Shalini can be seen wearing a patient’s gown as Ajith sits by her side. Shalini shared the photo with the caption, “Love you forever ❤️❤️❤️💝💝💕” as she and Ajith held hands in the photo.

The photo worried the fans of the actor as many wondered what had happened. Fans dropped “Get well soon” messages on the post and wondered what had caused her to get admitted to the hospital. As per an India Today report, Shalini underwent a surgery at a Chennai hospital. Ajith, who was shooting for his upcoming film Vidaa Muyarchi in Azerbaijan rushed back to be by her side.

Ajith was clicked on Chennai airport on Tuesday. While many fans tried to get selfies with him, the actor did not stop to take any pictures with them, presumably because he was rushing to get to the hospital.

Written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni, Vidaa Muyarchi is set for a Diwali 2024 release. The movie boasts a star-studded cast, including Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, and actor Arav.

After Vidaa Muyarchi, Ajith will join the sets of Good Bad Ugly, directed by Aadhik Ravichandran.
