Sathyaraj to star in Rajinikanth’s Coolie, stays mum about starring in Salman Khan’s Sikandar

Actor Sathyaraj has recently confirmed that he will be a part of Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Coolie. The actor confirmed this at a recent promotional event where he was also asked about being a part of Salman Khan’s upcoming film Sikander.

“Since corporates came into (producing films), nothing can be confirmed by us. It is part of the contract. So, only they have to confirm any news. But I think the news that I am part of Rajinikanth sir’s film is already out. I am doing the film,” he said. When asked about Salman’s film, the actor said it is not up to him to comment on that. However, he didn’t deny being part of the film.

When asked about being a part of PM Narendra Modi’s biopic, he said, “That’s not true. I might perhaps do it if my late friend Manivanna Anna was around, who could make a realistic biopic about the reality. Or if directors like Pa Ranjith or Mari Selvaraj direct the film, I might act. They will show the truth.”

Coolie marks the reunion of Rajinikanth and Sathyaraj after a gap of 38 years. They last worked together in Mr Bharath in 1986.
