Lal Salaam: Rajinikanth turns into ‘everyone’s favourite bhai’ for daughter Aishwarya’s film, see photo

Lal Salaam, which features Rajinikanth in an extended appearance, has been directed by his daughter Aishwarya, who returns to feature film direction eight years after Vai Raja Vai.

Superstar Rajinikanth is set to return on screen with his latest Lal Salaam. Makers of the film, which reportedly features Rajinikanth in an extended cameo, dropped his first look on Sunday. Rajinikanth’s daughter, Aishwarya, has directed the film.

Lyca Productions, the banner backing Lal Salaam, took to Twitter and revealed the first look of the actor as ‘Moideen Bhai’ from the film. Lal Salaam stars actors Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles. The film’s music has been composed by AR Rahman.

Aishwarya, who returns to feature film direction eight years after Vai Raja Vai, also shared the first look poster of her actor father and wrote, “Moideenbhai …welcome🙏🏼 …#lalslaam cannot caption when your heart is racing! #blessed.” She had made her directorial debut in 2012 with Dhanush starrer 3.

Rajinikanth was last seen in 2021 Diwali release Annaatthe. He is currently filming the action-comedy Jailer, directed by Nelson. With music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, Jailer is scheduled to release on August 10, 2023. Meanwhile, Lal Salaam is aiming to release theatrically later this year.
