Rajinikanth praises Team Amaran: ‘Sivakarthikeyan has lived the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan’

“I must congratulate Kamal Haasan for backing such an important film,” said Rajinikanth, adding how he was emotional and in tears while watching the film, which not only documented the life of Major Mukund, but also the various difficulties faced by Indian soldiers. He also had lovely words to say about Sai Pallavi, who played the role of Indhu Rebecca Varghese in Amaran. 

Sharing the video, Sivakarthikeyan wrote a heartfelt note, which read, “I’m extremely happy with the appreciation from Superstar Rajinikanth sir for #Amaran. Amaran, which is based on Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh’s book India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military, is embellished by the extensive research of Rajkumar. Apart from Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, Amaran also stars Rahul Bose, Bhuvan Arora, Shreekumar, and Lallu.

With music by GV Prakash Kumar, Amaran has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the global box-office, and is one of the biggest successes in Sivakarthikeyan’s career.
