Rajinikanth mourns demise of Sarath Babu: ‘I have lost my dear friend…’
Actor Sarath Babu breathed his last at a private hospital in Hyderabad. He was 71.

Actor Sarath Babu passed away on Monday due to multiple organ failure. The veteran actor breathed his last at a private hospital in Hyderabad. On Monday evening, Rajinikanth took to Twitter to mourn the demise of his ‘dear friend’.
The superstar tweeted, “Today, I have lost my dear friend and a great human being. His death cannot be compensated. May his soul rest in peace.”

Rajinikanth and Sarath Babu came into the film industry around the same time in the late 70s. The friendship between the two continued for decades till Sarath’s death. They have acted together in films such as Muthu, Annamalai, Vellaikaaran, and Mullum Malaram among others. Of all their collaborations, Muthu and Annamalai are still regarded as the best. The two last acted together in Rajinikanth’s Baba. Sarath Babu made a cameo appearance in the film.
Sarath Babu has acted in more than 200 films across languages. From Kamal Haasan to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, many personalities expressed their condolences over the death of the actor.
