After returning home from the Himalayas, Rajinikanth has again left for another tour. This time it’s to the bus depot in Bengaluru, where he worked as a conductor. Looks like the superstar wanted to take a trip down the memory lane. He took pictures with Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation bus conductors and drivers.
The bus depot is at Jayanagar where the Jailer actor spent a few minutes on Tuesday. His visit was a pleasant surprise to the workers there, who were excited to pose with the 72-year-old star.
Before his debut as an actor in K Balachander’s Apoorva Ragangal (1975), Rajinikanth worked as a bus conductor at the depot and did some plays in his free time. Encouraged by his friend Raj Bahadur, he went to acting school and eventually landed a role in Apoorva Ragangal, which had Kamal Haasan in the lead role.
After the brief visit to the depot, Rajinikanth also visited Raghavendra Swami Math in Bengaluru. He has been a devotee of Raghavendra and played the Hindu Saint in his 100th film Sri Raghavendra. It looks like Rajinikanth is visiting all the places in the city he once went to during his youth.
Currently, Rajinikanth is basking in the success of Jailer, which has earned more than Rs 600 crore at the box office. The film is slowly inching towards becoming the all-time highest box office grosser, a place currently held by Rajinikanth’s 2.0.
Rajinikanth will next team up with director TJ Gnanavel, who is known for the hit film Jai Bhim. Rajini is also rumoured to join Lokesh Kanagaraj for a film, which will be part of the director’s cinematic universe, which comprises Vikram and Kaithi.
