Rajinikanth, Fahadh Faasil’s picture from sets of Vettaiyan goes viral

Superstar Rajinikanth and Fahadh Faasil have started shooting for director TJ Gnanavel’s film Vettaiyan. On Thursday, a photograph from the sets of the shoot was leaked online and has gone viral. It shows both Fahadh and Rajinikanth in the same frame.

After the success of his film Jai Bhim, TJ Gnanavel started shooting for Vettaiyan, which is shot in different parts of Tamil Nadu. In the leaked photograph, the unit is seen holding umbrellas for the actors and it looks like a break in between shots where a scene is being discussed.

Rajinikanth is dressed in a black shirt and brown pants, whereas Fahadh is seen in a black shirt with white print on it.

Fans wondered if it is a throwback scene as Rajinikanth is in the get-up of a younger man.

This is Rajinikanth’s 170th film and has an impressive line up. The movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role. Besides these superstars, the movie also features Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan. The movie is produced by Lyca productions.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted that Rajinikanth halted the shoot of the film and flew back to Chennai upon hearing the unfortunate news of actor Vijaykanth’s demise. Ramesh Bala wrote on X, “#SuperstarRajinikanth canceled his movie #Vettaiyan shoot in Nagerkovil and is rushing back to Chennai to pay his homage to Captain #Vijayakanth”.
