Prasanna joins cast of Ajith Kumar's Good Bad Ugly.

For a few years now, almost every single time an Ajith Kumar film is announced, there would be speculations that actor Prasanna would be playing a pivotal role in it. After denying these rumours for a few years now, the power of manifestation by Ajith and Prasanna fans has finally come through as the latter is set to star in Adhik Ravichandran’s Good Bad Ugly.

Announcing this update on his social media handles, Prasanna said, “This time it’s finally true that I’m part of our beloved Thala Ajith Kumar sir’s film. It’s a dream come true for me.” Reminiscing on the times Ajith fans manifested this onscreen combination, Prasanna wrote, “Since Mankatha, every time AK sir’s films were announced, I was supposed to be a part of those. His fans kept speculating and wishing that I’m there in his next. But there has been ‘many a slip between the cup and the lip,’ as they say.”

Prasanna revealed that he has started shooting for the entertainer, and spoke about what makes Ajith a true pleasure to work with. “I’ve shot my first few days, and I can only tell one thing, he is loved so much for what he is, and he is only what you and I have known about him. The man is full of humility and so grounded.”

Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, Good Bad Ugly is aiming for a Pongal release. The film is currently on floors, and the makers have remained tight-lipped about the rest of the cast and crew. Even though there has been no official confirmation, it is expected that Trisha, who is already working in Ajith’s Vidaamuyarchi, might star alongside him in this movie. Filmmaker-actor Adhik, who starred in Ajith’s Nerkonda Paarvai with Thalapathy 69 director H Vinoth, is directing the Valimai actor for the first time in Good Bad Ugly. With music by Devi Sri Prasad, the film will be shot by Abinandhan Ramanujam and edited by Vijay Velukutty.

Apart from Good Bad Ugly, Ajith is also working on Magizh Thirumeni’s much-awaited Vidaamuyarchi, which is expected to be in its final stage of production.
