Actor Trisha is one of the few stars in Tamil cinema, who has managed to make an incredible comeback in the highly competitive industry. On top of that, she pulled it off at the age of 40, which according to ‘industry standards’ is too old for a female actor to be playing the lead role. However, Trisha, who is celebrating her 40th birthday today, is riding high on the success of Tamil cinema’s biggest hits Ponniyin Selvan 1 and 2. As icing on the cake, she is also part of Vijay’s much awaited movie Leo.

The film brings back the adorable onscreen couple after a gap of 17 years. For reasons unknown, Trisha and Vijay stopped collaborating after their film Aadhi, which was released in 2006. Now, they are back together in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s movie Leo, which is speculated to be part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).

Seven Screen Studio, the production house of Leo, has been proactive in promoting the film on Twitter, and it is perhaps the most interactive Twitter handle for a production company. The production house took to Twitter on Thursday to wish Trisha a happy birthday with a photo from the sets of Leo.

In the photo, both Vijay and Trisha seem to be sporting their looks from the movie, which is minimalistic–typical of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s films. The background indicates that it’s been shot inside a bakery/cafe. It should be noted that the teaser hinted that Vijay plays the role of a chocolatier in Leo, who has a secret identity.

The makers also revealed another interesting trivia about Trisha. Leo marks the 67th film in her career, which is special because the film is the 67th in Vijay’s career as well. Bloody sweet!

Other than Vijay and Trisha, the film also has Sanjay Dutt, Gautam Menon, Mysskin, and Mansoor Ali Khan in important roles. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for the movie.
