A new poster of Suriya’s Kanguva was unveiled on Diwali as a treat for ‘Anbaana fans’, who were happy with the look of the Tamil star in the poster. It had Suriya as a tribal king surrounded by his men blowing horns, which are on fire, literally. Also, Suriya is holding a sword, which is also on fire. It seems the idea was to come up with a poster that’s ‘fire (or fyaar?)’ on Diwali, the festival of lights. The makers have been spot on with the target as fans loved the poster making it viral.

Sharing the poster, Suriya wrote, “Dear all wish you a Happy happy Deepavali.”

Suriya fans have had a rather dull year as the actor doesn’t have a release this year. But Suriya, at Karthi’s Japan event, promised that he and director Siva are coming with Kanguva, which is shaping up well. He also hinted that a standalone film on his Rolex character from Vikram might be in the pipeline. Lokesh Kanagaraj has already confirmed the movie, but this is the first time Suriya has spoken about it in public.

Suriya’s last standalone film was Etharkkum Thunindhavan, a rural drama, directed by Pandiraj. The film movie a decent affair at the box office but didn’t become the success his fans would have wanted it to. Other than Kanguva, he has a project with Vetrimaaran titled Vaadivasal. The state of the film is unknown as both its director Vetrimaaran and Suriya are busy with their projects.
