James Cameron: ‘SS Rajamouli’s RRR is spectacular…Great to see Indian cinema bursting out to the world’
James Cameron spoke about his meeting with SS Rajamouli at the Saturn Awards and remarked that he is glad Indian cinema is getting recognised on the global stage.

Hollywood legend James Cameron has once again heaped praise on SS Rajamouli. At the Saturn Awards, which was held on February 5, Cameron was asked about his take on Rajamouli and RRR, and he said that the film was ‘spectacular’. The filmmaker added that he was glad that Indian cinema is getting recognition on the global stage.
When asked about his meeting with Rajamouli last year, Cameron said, “I was being honest with him (Rajamouli) at that time. I thought it was a spectacular work. And it was great to see Indian cinema bursting out to the world stage and got acceptance.”

Last year, SS Rajamouli and MM Keeravaani met James Cameron at the Critics’ Choice Awards 2023. During the event, Cameron spoke about how he saw the movie RRR twice. He also discussed Rajamouli’s use of Keeravaani’s music. Cameron praised RRR saying, “And the setup… Your fire, water story. Reveal after reveal. And then you show what happened in the back story. It’s like all of them are a homely setup. Why he’s doing what he’s doing and the twists and turns and the friendship and eventually it gets to a point that where he can’t even kill him when the other reverses…It’s just so, so powerful.”
On top of that, Cameron told Rajamouli, “If you ever wanna make a movie over here, let’s talk.”
Now, yet again James Cameron has made fans of RRR and SS Rajamouli happy with his recent statement, which has gone viral on social media. Meanwhile, his Avatar: The Way of Water won awards at the Saturn Awards in the categories: Best Science Fiction Film, Direction, Screenwriting, and Visual Effects.
Back in India, Rajamouli is currently working on his next film with Mahesh Babu, which is yet to be titled.
