Atlee celebrates 10 years in industry: ‘Special thanks to Vijay anna… Shah Rukh Khan sir for trusting with Jawan’

Atlee took to Instagram to share posters of his films. He thanked many including his wife Priya and mentor Shankar among others.

Atlee, who made his debut as a director in Tamil in 2013 with Raja Rani, is celebrating his 10 years in the industry. The filmmaker, who is basking in the biggest hit of his career, Jawan, took to Instagram to share posters of all his films to celebrate the new milestone. He also took the opportunity to thank everyone who has been instrumental in his success.

He thanked his wife Priya and mentor Shankar for their support. He also conveyed special thanks to Tamil star Vijay with whom he has collaborated for three films–Theri, Mersal, and Bigil. Atlee also thanked Shah Rukh Khan for trusting him with Jawan.

The post read, “10 years into the film industry and it’s nothing short of a dream. Thanks to everyone who stood by me; @priyaatlee, my family, my friends, well-wishers, press, TV channels and last but not the least my audience & fans. My mentor @shanmughamshankar sir (Sic).”

“Special thanks to my Anna Vijay for being a constant support throughout and dear Shah Rukh Khan sir for being kind and loving as always and trusting me with Jawan.”

Atlee also listed out all the actors and technicians he has worked with so far in the long post, which was shared by Nayanthara on her Insta story.

Meanwhile, Jawan has crossed the Rs 1000-crore mark at the box office and is still having a decent run at theatres. Atlee is yet to announce his next film. When asked if he would make Jawan 2, Atlee said he would ‘definitely’ do it if he finds a compelling script.
