Arjun Das was not part of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie, starring Rajinikanth in the lead role. Talking about the same, the actor said, “With Lokesh, it’s only when he calls that we think about work that way. I have stopped asking him for roles now. In Vikram also, my casting happened like that.”

Lokesh Kanagaraj once explained to Arjun Das why he doesn’t want to cast him in every film. “Lokesh told me that I have my own films as hero and solo releases, so based on our equation, he will only call me if he thinks it’s a good role and one that warrants my casting in the film. During the time of Leo, I just tagged along with him and his writers to just be a fly on the wall to his conversations. That experience itself charges you up as an artiste.”
