Truly, madly, slowly
Shooting Tera naam doon track for It’s Entertainment in slow motion threw everyone into a tizzy

Shooting for an entire song in slow motion was a first for everyone, including leading man Akshay Kumar and the heroine Tamannaah Bhatia. And it’s something they will remember for a long time. The track, Tera naam doon in It’s Entertainment has Kumar wooing Bhatia and finally proposing to her, was shot over three days in different locations in Goa and had its shares of highs and lows. According to Sajid of writers-turned-directors Sajid-Farhad duo, it was choreographer Remo D’Souza’s idea to shoot the song in slow motion as the track was soulful and serene.
“It was interesting to learn that when shooting for a sequence or scene which will appear in slow motion on screen, the body is moved at the same speed when shooting for a regular scene. But the lip sync has to be extremely rapid, and that was something the actors took time to get used to. But once they did, both of them had a lot of fun,” explained Sajid.
The director also recalled the scene where Tamannaah had to fall backwards from a rock and Akshay had to catch her in his arms. “Tamannaah was very scared when filming that frame because she couldn’t look back and was afraid she would fall and hurt herself. She was convinced when we told her that Akshay has a 22-year-old record of swinging and catching his heroines safely. He never dropped anyone till date.”
It’s Entertainment is produced by Ramesh Taurani and Jayantilal Gada and releases on August 8.
