Adil Hussain plays the lead role of a daily wage worker, Aslam Puncturewala in Zed Plus, who, due to some circumstances, is provided with Zed Plus security. The actor recalls shooting a scene in Mandawa, Rajasthan where he had to give several retakes before it was canned.
“The scene was so hilarious that I could not stop laughing for the longest. The scene we were shooting was, because I have this security provided to me, a whole gang of bodyguards follow me everywhere and I cannot go to meet my lover Saeeda (played by Ekavali Khanna). That’s when I plead with the head of Zed Security (played by Rahul Singh), to allow me to sneak out in the dead of the night to meet her. When he doesn’t, I try to slip out in the dark, and get caught! Both, Rahul and I, found the situation so funny that we took some time to settle down and give a good shot,” said Hussain.
Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the film also stars Mona Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Sanjay Mishra and Shivani Tanksale. It releases on November 28.
