Sonakshi Sinha to play the renowned poetess Amrita Pritam

There is a strong buzz that Sonakshi Sinha is in talks to play Amrita Pritam in a biopic based on the life of the renowned poetess. The film will be produced by Ashi Dua (she had earlier produced Bombay Talkies) and will be directed by newbie Jasmeet Reen.
When we contacted Dua to confirm if Sinha would be playing Pritam, she did not wish to speak about the status or the cast of the film. “These are all rumours. Nothing is confirmed and no one has been signed for the film. I really would not like to comment on anything right now,” retorted Dua.
