It has been heard that a biopic of actor Sanjay Dutt is in the offing and will be made under his home banner, Sanjay Dutt Productions with wife Maanyata Dutt as its producer and Rajkumar Hirani as the director.
The duo had earlier created magic with ‘Munnabhai M.B.B.S.’ and ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’.
There were reports that Ranbir Kapoor will play the main lead and that the film will be co-produced by Rajkumar Hirani. However, a source close to the Dutts said that while such a film will be made with Hirani helming it, it is however, too early to talk about the project as it is still in the pre-planning stages.
Dutt, a convict in the March 1993 Mumbai blast case is currently serving the remainder of his five-year term at Pune’s Yerawada jail since May 2013.
