Director Ram Gopal Varma, whose last Hindi directorial venture Attacks of 26/11 released in 2013, is now back with his latest offering. Titled Xes, the film is Varma’s first tryst with erotica and will deal with the complex human emotions and relationships. While talking about the film, Varma stated, “The will to power and desire for pleasure are the most primary motivating factors in human instinct and they control 99 per cent of human activities. If my previous violent films dealt with power, Xes will deal with desire. I personally believe that desire is the only reason why life is worth living and Xes will explore that. The film will deal with varied complex human emotions, ranging from guilt, betrayal, helplessness, embarrassment, hurt and sympathy among others.”
While it is confirmed that Philip Manoharan of Tumbhi Productions will produce the film, there were reports that Ekta Kapoor is interested in backing the project and will co-produce it. When contacted, Tanuj Garg, CEO – Balaji Motion Pictures mentioned, “We are currently in the initial stage of talks and nothing is finalised. If anything works out, we will make an official announcement about it.”
