After bagging the Oscar for Slumdog Millionaire, A.R. Rahman may now bag an Oscar for background score of Kochadaiiyan. Hollywood films Million Dollar Arm and The Hundred-Foot Journey for which Rahman scored music have also been shortlisted for a nomination in the Best Original Background Score category. Besides Slumdog … (2008), Rahman has bagged the Oscar for 127 hours (2010). When asked to respond upon Kochadaiiyan being shortlisted, the musical maestro stated, “Getting shortlisted is not a big deal, getting nominated is.”
