Priyanka Chopra’s latest single, I Can’t Make You Love Me, was released on iTunes and YouTube simultaneously last week. The actress took to her Twitter account and posted a link to the song, which is her third single as a singer after In My City and Exotic with Pitbull, which came out in the last two years. Since it’s release, the actress has received a lot of compliments for the track on her social media accounts. So much that the song has already reached the third spot on the top ten India iTunes chart. Chopra had mentioned that the song is inspired by Bonnie Rait’s classic track with the same name, which released in 1991. While Rait’s version was a soft love ballad, Chopra’s cover version is an electronic number fused with fast-paced, pop beats. The video of the song is expected to release on YouTube this week and will explore moments from a one-sided romantic relationship, which is on the rocks. Chopra will be seen along with Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia. The video of the song was shot in February this year.

Shraddha Kapoor sings for Ek Villain

After being a part of a singer’s rags-to-riches story in Mohit Suri’s Aashiqui 2, there are reports that actress Shraddha Kapoor has turned singer for her upcoming film, Ek Villian. The song in question is a romantic number, the music direction for which is done by Ankit Tiwari, who had composed a few numbers in Aashiqui 2 as well. Titled Galiyan, the song is a duet track, where Kapoor is joined by Tiwari behind the mic. The song has already been recorded and a source confirmed that Kapoor took a few lessons to improve her vocal skills for her singing debut. It will be interesting to see how Kapoor fares as a singer, considering members of her extended family have a strong background in music and singing.

Yeh Hai Bakrapur album launched

The music album of Yeh Hai Bakrapur was recently launched at Blue Frog. An entire lounge area was converted into a village inspired set up and special musical performances were given by Kannan Mohan along with the members of their band, Agnee, who have also composed the music of this album. A group of kids from the band, Dharavi Rocks, entertained the audience with their drum circle performance and also joined the cast on stage during the launch. Actor Anshuman Jha, who is also in the film,
was seen interacting with the band members.
