Heartless is the story of 24 year old Aditya Singh (Adhyayan Suman), the only son of a single parent Gayatri Singh (Deepti Naval), a business tycoon. He suffers from an incurable heart disease called EMF (Endomyocardial Fibrosis) and only a heart transplant can save him. Aditya is opposed to the idea of living, till he falls in love with Ria (Ariana Ayam), a guest relations officer who works in a hotel in Dubai. He agrees to the treatment, but the story takes a turn when during the operation, he experiences a frightening medical phenomenon called anesthesia awareness.

The film is actor Shekhar Suman’s directorial debut. Suman believes that direction is a latent talent that was lying untapped within him and is keen on making some more films in the future.
