Film-maker Sriram Raghavan, who is making a film on renowned author Vikas Swarup’s novel The Accidental Apprentice, has apparently approached Deepika Padukone to be part of the film. About a female shop assistant who is invited to become the CEO of a business empire if she can pass a series of seven tests, the story explores different forms of corruption in modern India.
When we contacted Raghavan for a confirmation he messaged back, “I have not yet completed the script of Accidental Apprentice. Am busy with Badlapur post and patchwork.”
