Singer Chris Brown is reportedly cutting back on alcohol intake and hard partying so he can be a responsible and sober parent to his daughter Royalty.

The 26-year-old singer wants to be a completely conscious father, now that he has joint temporary custody of Royalty with her mother Nia Guzman, reported Hollywood Life.

“Chris is weening himself off drinking and other stuff he does because he wants to be healthy, have a clear mind, and be a completely conscious and sober parent. He doesn’t want anyone or anything clouding his mind or judgement,” a source
said.

“He wants to witness every little single thing Royalty does with a clear mind. He wants to fill his mind with sober memories of her doing the smallest things like tying her shoes, etc. His life and world is now Royalty and everything else that doesn’t serve that he’s cutting out,” the insider said.

Brown was granted joint temporary custody of Royalty earlier this month following a bitter court battle with Nia. Under the judge’s ruling, the two will rotate custody of 15 month old Royalty every four days.
