Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR chief Kristin Cabot were all over the news after their video from Coldplay concert went viral. It sparked meme-fest on social media with many imitating them. Some even using AI to replace faces of them with different celebs. AR Rahman too followed the trend but in a quirky way.
The Oscar-winning musician recently performed in Washington as part of his Wonderment Tour, a clip from which surfaced online. During the concert, at the Tacoma Dome, the cameraperson zoomed in on the lens over the crowd. Soon, AR Rahman could be heard saying, “I won’t get you in trouble. Don’t worry.” This left his audience in splits.
Previously, Kartik Aaryan too shared a video on his Instagram, joining the trend. In the video he was seen eating chocolate. The text read: “Fitness freak, Kartik Aaryan, caught cheating on his diet at the Coldplay concert last night.” He shared the video with the caption: “Almost got fired.” This prompted several of his fans to react in the comment section. A user wrote, “You indeed know the best ideas to create content. Another comment read, “Only you could have recreated this.”
From the recent Coldplay concert, a video of Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR chief Kristin Cabot went viral. They were caught hugging each other on kisscam and immediately ducked for cover. It became extremely controversial as they were both married to different people and were having an affair. This incident prompted Andy Byron to resign from the company. The news was confirmed by the US tech company on LinkedIn.
The post read: “As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met. Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted.”
When the camera was zoomed onto them, they moved away in embarrassment. This prompted Chris Martin say, “Either too shy” or “having an affair.” He then regretted his statement and shared, “I hope we didn’t do something bad.”
The controversy also prompted Andy’s wife Megan Kerrigan drop his name from her social media account.
AR Rahman is currently in the US for The Wonderment Tour. He is scheduled to perform in Oakland Arena on July 25, LA on July 26, Sugar Land, TX on July 29, Grand Prairie, TX on July 30. He will complete his US tour on August 17. In October, he will begin his UK tour with the first concert being scheduled for October 16 in London followed by Manchester and Birmingham on October 17 and 18, respectively.
