Zakir Khan has a scheduled performance at the JT Performing Arts Centre in Tripunithura, Kochi, which happens to be owned by none other than Mohanlal.

Zakir Khan is one of India’s most accomplished stand-up comedians. Through his captivating stand-up performances infused with anecdotal humour, he has garnered an unwavering fanbase.
Being an ardent movie enthusiast himself, Zakir experienced a delightful surprise while at the lounge of Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport where he came face-to-face with one of his favourite actors. The film star was none other than Malayalam superstar Mohanlal!
In a beautifully crafted and exuberant post on Instagram, brimming with enthusiasm and exhilaration, Zakir Khan eloquently recounted his encounter with the esteemed thespian, marking their very first meeting.
Zakir commenced his post by noting, “Got humbled by Mohan Lal sir.” He penned his experience as follows: “I met him at Mumbai Airport lounge. I walked up to him as a fan, to which he responded with a small chat.”
During their interaction, Mohanlal enquired about Zakir’s travel destination, to which he replied that he was en route to Nagpur. Curious about Zakir’s profession, the actor asked, “What do you do?”
Zakir proudly responded, revealing his identity as a stand-up comedian, and sharing how his life revolved around constant travel for shows these days. At that moment, Mohanlal expressed his genuine delight upon discovering that Zakir, too, was an artiste, creating a shared sense of joy and connection between them.
Sharing his account, Zakir Khan recounted the continuation of their conversation, wherein he inquired if Mohanlal presently resides in Mumbai. Zakir quoted Lal’s response, saying, “No no, I live in Kochi and Chennai.”

Curiosity piqued, the Malayalam superstar asked, “Have you performed in Kochi?” Zakir candidly replied, “No never, but I am about to do a show next week for the first time.”
Further intrigued, Mohanlal enquired about the specific venue in Kochi where Zakir would be performing. Zakir recalled his reply, stating, “I don’t remember the name of the auditorium but it is supposed to be the most latest and high-tech in the country.”
To Zakir’s surprise, the actor remarked, “I think I know this place. I founded that space.” He then generously offered his assistance, saying, “Take my number, if you need any help, call me.”
Concluding his post with a lighthearted remark, Zakir Khan playfully mentioned that while he was awestruck by the kind gesture of the Malayalam actor, he internally exclaimed, “bhai bhai bhai.” However, in a courteous manner, the comedian responded with a polite expression of gratitude, saying, “Yes sir, thank you so much.”
Zakir has a scheduled performance at the JT Performing Arts Centre in Tripunithura, Kochi, which happens to be owned by none other than Mohanlal himself. The event is set to take place on May 27, 2023.
