Prithviraj Sukumaran reveals Rajinikanth is the first to see Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan trailer: ‘I will forever cherish what you said…’
Prithviraj recently met Rajinikanth and showed him the trailer of his upcoming film, L2: Empuraan.

Actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran has often spoken fondly about how he received a call from superstar Rajinikanth after the release of the 2007 film Mozhi. In fact, two decades since that phone call, Prithviraj, after becoming a director with Mohanlal’s Lucifer (2019), got an opportunity to narrate a script to Rajinikanth and direct him in a Tamil film. However, this project didn’t materialise for multiple reasons, including Prithviraj’s belief that he wasn’t ready with the right kind of script for Rajinikanth. Nevertheless, Prithviraj recently met Rajinikanth and showed him the trailer of his upcoming film, L2: Empuraan. And what made it even more special? Rajinikanth was the first person to watch the much-awaited trailer of the Mohanlal-starrer.
Sharing a photo of himself with Rajinikanth, Prithviraj wrote, “The very first person to watch the trailer of L2: Empuraan. I will forever cherish what you said after watching it, sir! This meant the world to me! Fanboy forever!.”
