Amala Paul, who recently faced trolling for allegedly wearing an “inappropriate” outfit to a college for the promotion of her upcoming film Level Cross, has finally broke her silence. At a recent press conference, the Malayalam actress told, “The problem lies with how the camera projected my dressing style.” Recently, the actress visited St Albert’s College in Kochi to promote her Malayalam film. For the event, the actress wore a little black dress (LBD), which didn’t go down well with many online, who trolled and targeted the actress–some even abusing her.
Days later, the actress has finally reacted to the issue. At a recent press conference, the actress said, “The problem lies with how the cameras projected my dressing style. I wore what was comfortable for me. My dress was not inappropriate for the function. What was probably inappropriate was the way the camera projected my attire. I have no control over that.”
Backing her statement further, the Aadujeevitham star said, “The students were totally comfortable with what I wore. I wear all types of clothing, be it traditional or western. By wearing that dress, I wanted to instill confidence among students regarding their dressing choices.”
Amala Paul, who recently starred opposite Prithviraj Sukumaran in his dream project Aadujeevitham: The Goat Life, gave birth to a baby boy last month. The actress has been actively involved in the promotions of Level Cross along with her co-stars Asif Ali and Sharafudheen. The film is set to hit the big screen on July 26.
