Alappuzha Gymkhana trailer: Naslen dreams big as a boxer, but does he have what it takes?
Alappuzha Gymkhana trailer: Directed by Khalid Rahman, the sports comedy revolves around a group of youngsters who dream of entering the Kerala State Amateur Boxing Championship but might be severely undertalented.

Alappuzha Gymkhana trailer: “I can’t say whether I’ll return in an ambulance or as a champion, but wait and watch!” Jojo Johnson (Naslen K Gafoor) tells his mother before heading off to a boxing competition. Though he puts on a confident front, his mother’s expression — mirroring our own — suggests otherwise as we are able to see right through him and realise that he is not that sure of himself. Yet, his bravado makes us all the more eager to see how things unfold. The much-anticipated trailer of Alappuzha Gymkhana has arrived, promising a film packed with fun and excitement.
The 158-second trailer kicks off with a petty quarrel between two groups of youngsters, which quickly escalates when one of them throws a punch. What makes this moment significant in the narrative is that the punch inadvertently reveals the striker’s hidden talent — he’s a boxer. This revelation pushes the rival group to take up boxing themselves, determined to become a formidable force. Among them is Jojo, who, along with his friends, soon realises that mastering the sport is no easy feat. However, with the guidance of national boxing champion-turned-coach Antony Joshua (Lukman Avaran), they just might stand a chance at achieving their dream.

As the trailer progresses, we catch glimpses of Jojo’s personal life as well, including his romantic relationships and his relentless pursuit to establish himself as a skilled boxer, ultimately leading him to the Kerala State Amateur Boxing Championship. However, the general perception of him and his gang is poor: “They aren’t good enough,” we hear one of the characters saying. The implication? They might be all talk and no action. But what if they finally prove everyone wrong?
Also starring Ganapathi, Sandeep Pradeep, Anagha Ravi and Kottayam Nazeer, Alappuzha Gymkhana is directed by Khalid Rahman, known for Unda and Thallumaala. The film features music by Vishnu Vijay, cinematography by Jimshi Khalid and editing by Nishadh Yusuf.
