53rd Kerala State Film Awards: Complete list of winners
Among the 154 movies that were submitted for screening for the awards, Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam bagged the award for Best Film. While Mammootty was named the Best Actor, Vincy Aloshious was bestowed with the Best Actress title.
53rd Kerala State Film Awards: Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam named Best Film; Mammootty, Vincy Aloshious bag top honours. Kerala Minister for Cultural Affairs Saji Cherian announced the winners of the 53rd Kerala State Film Awards on Friday (July 21). A jury headed by Bengali film director and screenwriter Goutam Ghose, known for works such as Padma Nadir Majhi, Kaalbela and Moner Manush, selected the winners for this edition of the prestigious awards presented by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy.
Among the 154 movies that were submitted for screening for the awards, Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam bagged the award for Best Film. While Mahesh Narayanan was named Best Director for the film Ariyippu, Mammootty was named Best Actor for the film Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam and Vincy Aloshious was bestowed with the prestigious Best Actress title for the film Rekha.
