WWE Clash In Paris results: John Cena walked out to one of the most electric crowds of all time. Meanwhile, real life couple Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch retained their titles.

WWE Clash In Paris results: WWE has been coming up with a lot of new PLEs (premium live events) since their deal with Netflix went through. The company has more responsibility on its shoulders now ever since the documentary Unreal came out, which showed the fans how the sausage was made. Their recent PLE Clash in Paris, featuring stars like John Cena, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella and Jey Uso, raised the roof of the city.

Just a few weeks prior to the event, Roman Reigns made his comeback to the company, and the fans wanted to see Paul Heyman’s new guys go against him. Reigns and Bronson Reed faced off against each other in a brutal and testing match, and after a Samoan drop from the top rope and a spear, Reigns held Reed down for the three count. However, a victory wasn’t enough, and Reigns decided to deliver some punishment to Heyman for betraying him at Wrestlemania 41. Bron Breakker came to Heyman’s rescue and beat down Reigns, right up to the point where Reigns had to be carried out on a stretcher.

John Cena, who has very few dates left before his retirement in December, was set to face Logan Paul during the event. The 17-time world champion walked out to an ecstatic and excited crowd, who sang his whole theme song till the end. The match itself was surprisingly fast-paced, considering Cena’s age and fitness. The veteran pulled out moves like Hurricanrana and Hurricane DDT, and he also borrowed AJ Styles’ finisher, Styles Clash. The two clashed for the WWE Championship in 2016, delivering a match widely hailed as one of the best of their careers. After a lot of attempts, Cena finally bested Logan with consecutive AAs.

Seth Rollins, CM Punk, Jey Uso and LA Knight all faced off for the World Heavyweight title, and what looked like a handicap match against Rollins quickly turned on its head. After a gruelling match, Punk had Seth dead to rights, but as he was about to lay the finishing blow, Becky came to her husband’s rescue. Seth hit his finisher, and the couple walked out of Paris with both their title reigns intact, as Becky beat Nikki Bella earlier that night. The fallout of the match continued on Monday Night Raw, as Punk was confronted by Becky, who slapped him multiple times trying to force a reaction out of him.

Other results included Rusev beating Sheamus and the Wyatt Sicks defeating the Street Profits. While a date is still yet to be set, Punk is bound to come for the heavyweight title soon, and Cena’s next marquee opponent will most likely be Brock Lesnar.
