While fans were disappointed not to see Tabu in the first teaser of the prequel series Dune: Prophecy, the second teaser finally offers a brief glimpse of the actor. Set 10,000 years before the events of Dune and the rise of Paul Atreides, Dune: Prophecy explores the origins of the Dune universe. The series centres on the Harkonnen sisters, Valya and Tula (played by Emily Watson and Olivia Williams), as they strive to protect humanity from emerging threats and lay the foundations for the Bene Gesserit, a powerful all-female order with extraordinary abilities. The new teaser begins with a voiceover featuring senior Sisters instructing newcomers on the necessity of mastering self-control before attempting to influence the Great Houses. They highlight the importance of their influence and caution that with increased power, comes more enemies. While the Queen is seen warning the emperor about the sisterhood's growing strength, the Bene Gesserit remain resolute in their mission to solidify their hold on power. Valya declares, "Sacrifices must be made" to protect the imperium. Tabu makes a blink-and-miss appearance in the teaser as Sister Francesca, once a great love of the Emperor. Dune: Prophecy is inspired by the novel Sisterhood of Dune, written by Dune author Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson. The show also stars Jodhi May, who is known for her role in The Witcher, as Empress Natalya. Other actors who play pivotal roles in the series include, Travis Fimmel, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Aoife Hinds, Chloe Lea and Faoileann Cunningham. The HBO original series will be released in November.
