Steven Soderbergh hit with paternity suit

The Ocean's Eleven and Erin Brokovich director has been named father a five month old baby in Australia.

Hollywood director Steven Soderberg who has helmed blockbusters like ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ and ‘Erin Brokovich’,has been slapped with a paternity suit.

The Oscar winning filmmaker who has been married to model-turned TV host Jules Asner for seven years,has been named as the father of a five-month-old daughter who was born in Australia last August.

The 48-year-old has admitted to having a relationship with unmarried Australian Frances Lawrencina Anderson,reported New York Post online.

He acknowledged he was the father of the child,named Pearl Button Anderson,after submitting to a DNA test which confirmed his paternity.

Soderbergh has now offered to pay “various medical and other expenses incurred by the mother of the child in relation to the pregnancy.”

In the suit,filed at Manhattan’s Supreme Court,Anderson,claimed she had sex with the married ‘Sex,Lies and Videotape’ director “on many occasions”. This covered all possible dates of conception and reports show that Soderbergh,was indeed in Sydney at that time directing his play,’Tot Mom’.

Anderson’s age and occupation are unknown but it was revealed she lives in Sydney.
